Why My Phone Eats First

You've probably seen me always posting photos of what I eat on my Instagram and Facebook stories. It's for bragging.

No. Just kidding!

It's a personal strategy. You might even want to try it to.

Here's why I take photos of my plant-based meals:

When it comes to adopting healthier eating practices, like a plant-based diet, the challenge often lies in the lack of immediate satisfaction. Fortunately, finding joy in the journey towards healthier eating is straightforward when you know where to begin. Unlike the daunting task of overhauling your diet overnight, this approach won't leave you feeling overwhelmed. Embrace this easy-to-follow strategy to enjoy the fruits (and vegetables) of your labor, literally and figuratively.

The reasons behind documenting your plant-based journey

1. Immediate Rewards: One of the main reasons this strategy is so effective is because it offers instant gratification. In a world where we're used to quick results, seeing a visual record of your meals provides an immediate sense of achievement.

2. Sense of Community: Sharing your journey on social media opens the door to a supportive community. This network of like-minded individuals can offer encouragement, advice, and accountability, making the path less lonely.

3. Tracking Progress: Documenting your meals helps you track your progress. It's not just about the meals themselves but also about recognizing the changes in your tastes, preferences, and the increasing variety in your diet.

The benefits of this approach

1. Enhanced Motivation: Seeing your progress visually and receiving support from others boosts your motivation to stick with your plant-based goals.

2. Increased Accountability: When you commit to sharing your journey, you're more likely to stay on track. Knowing that others are following your progress can be a powerful motivator.

3. Celebration of Milestones: Each photo represents a step closer to your goal. Celebrating these milestones, big or small, reinforces your commitment and makes the journey enjoyable.

Try letting your phone eat first
Transitioning to a plant-based diet is a journey that can be as rewarding as it is healthy. By documenting and sharing your experiences, you turn what could be a solitary endeavor into a shared adventure. This strategy not only makes the process immediately gratifying but also builds a supportive community around your goals. The journey toward healthier eating becomes a visually documented path filled with support, encouragement, and tangible milestones. So, let your phone eat first and discover the joy in every bite of your plant-based journey.

A couple weeks ago, I posted this video on YouTube titled: Why some people look healthy on unhealthy lifestyles. I was genuinely curious about this topic and I’d like to expand on that a little more in this letter. You may have noticed that I haven’t been posting short videos consistently on Instagram and Facebook anymore. I've been doing a lot of thinking lately about my journey on social media. It's been a wild ride, though it’s only been a few months since I decided to take this hobby a little bit seriously. Today, I want to share some of that with you, especially about some big changes I'm planning to make. For a long time, I tried to be everywhere at once. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Threads –...
